The Different Stripes Podcast is Back!

The Different Stripes Podcast was a project I started a few years ago during the Pandemic to discuss being half Korean with my friend Bennett Hogendorn. We created a few episodes together and brought on Kevin Kim to discuss the Korean American experience. However, times changed, and we all got busier, so the podcast went on hiatus.
Luckily, the Fighting Stripes team kept growing over the years and this year it became time to revisit the podcast with Dom, our newest Fighting Stripes family member. Dom is half Korean and the first Fighting Stripes family member to grow up in Germany, so he and I knew it would be great to have some conversations about that experience and how it differed from my childhood.
We are very excited to keep the podcast going monthly and are already preparing some exciting upcoming episodes to share with you. Dom and I have been digging into our favorite Korean culture, from the music all the way to the movies and books we enjoy. This time, we spent our time breaking down BTS and their new album, Arirang, and then used a segue to talk about Park Chanwook’s films.
